Free or Low Cost Visual Marketing Resources

 

Who says visual marketing resources have to be expensive? These days, there tons of great tools and resources out there to help you create beautiful infographics, flyers, posters, mockups and more. Here are some of our favorites!

 

Free Images

Pixabay, Pexels, Unsplash– all of these sites are fantastic resources for free high quality, high resolution stock images. The best part is, there are no license limitations – everything is 100% free.

Freepik – This is one of the best sites out there for free vectors, icons, PSDs, and photos created by highly skilled designers. These resources are free, but do require attribution. This is even a great place to get inspiration for your visual marketing efforts.

Vexels – this site offers over 20,000 PNG & SVG items, free vectors, and even premium content. Plus, they even have an online editor you can use to customize hundreds of ready-made designs.

 

Icons

Flaticon – find beautifully designed icons in a variety of styles for just about anything you can think of. Icons are free to use with attribution, or you can buy a premium membership for about $10 per month.

Icons8 – Thousands of free-to-use icon options, all created in house by talented designers.

 

Templates & Graphic Design

Canva – easy to edit templates for infographics, reports, mood boards, graphs, flyers and posters and more. You can edit and customize the templates by changing the copy, colors, and icons.

Snappa – like Canva, Snappa web-based graphic design program, but you have more editing control. Build designs from scratch, or use their templates.

PSDDD – Great for Web and mobile app UI designers, PSDDD offers tons of free Web & Mobile UI Kits, Wireframe Templates, UX and Styleguide Templates, Icon Sets, Fonts, and Mockup Templates.

DesignWizard – An online tool that allows you to quickly create graphics for social media ads, marketing campaigns, business cards, invitations, and more. Their features include stock video and image options, and the ability to resize templates for free.

 

Fonts

Fontsquirrel, 1001 Fonts, FontSpace – These sites offer literally thousands of free fonts for commercial use – without having to wade through a sea of annoying pop-ups, and without risking getting sued.

 

Tools

Colorpic – An oldie but a goodie! This tool allows you to ‘grab’ colors from anywhere on your screen. It’s super easy to use and allows you to quickly find the exact colors you want to use for a project. Grab palettes of up to 16 colors at once and use four advanced color mixers to select a spectrum of possibilities.

WhatTheFont – Can’t figure out what font a previous designer used for a project? Just upload a screenshot or enter the URL with the image of the font, and WhatTheFont will tell you exactly what font it is, and even where you can go download it.

Paletton – any designer worth their salt knows the importance of a great color scheme. Paletton makes this easy – just choose your color on a color wheel or input the color codes to see what other colors will compliment it best. Select from combinations like Monochromatic, Adjacent Colors, Triad, Tetrad, and Freestyle.
